Lorenzo Ghiberti

Lorenzo Ghiberti was a Florentine Italian artist during the Early Renaissance. He is best known as the creator of the bronze doors of the Florence Baptistery. He was born in 1378 and died on December 1st, 1455. His book, Commentarii, contains important writing on art, as well as what may be the earliest surviving autobiography by any artist.
