"At Adour Alain Ducasse situated in a historic chamber of the St. Regis Hotel, the interactive wine bar, tasting lounges, main dining room, and private vault room together offer oenophiles unique environments to familiarize themselves with each establishment’s extensive 1,800-bottle collection. A sculpted bronze bar with a goatskin bar top and suspended hand-blown gold glass spheres in the interactive wine bar introduces guests to the space. Beyond, rich and tactile materials in wine tones combine with custom painted murals, silver leaf moldings, and a seeded glass wall etched with an abstract grapevine pattern, allowing guests to look through the new to the old historic framework.
At the intimate, 4-seat wine bar, along with the traditional sommelier experience of decanting and verbally describing the wines, there is a state-of-the-art interactive wine menu at the bar. The technology, which Rockwell Group developed in collaboration with Potion, enables Adour to provide more information about its vast wine collection than it could with a conventional wine list. Guests are able to find a wine that is perfectly suited to their tastes and to engage in a dialogue with the sommelier and other guests."[www.rockwellgroup.com]
