Project Description:
These images depict window displays and exhibitions from the Le Grand Maison de Blanc department store in Paris throughout the 1920s. The first two images show the floor covered in white linen with female nude sculptures positioned on top. Image 3 is a winter scene with geometric trees and reindeer formations.
The fourth image is a palissandre and maple cabinet designed by Jacques Adnet and made by Compagnie des Arts Francais. It was also shown at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs in 1926.
Lastly, we see a shop window for Le Grand Maison de Blanc depicting a garden scene executed in handkerchiefs. Positioned in the display, children mannequins wear the handkerchiefs and dance about a pool.
