Project Description:
Pierre Chareau (1883-1950) designed the domicile of Annie and Dr. Jean Dalsace. This house makes heavy use of textiles including fabric covered walls, fur pillows and velvet upholstery on divans and in alcoves. Wallpaper is used throughout in a fruit and rivon motif. A red-brick fireplace can be found in the living room with a wrought-iron grate. In the bedroom, is a white marble fireplace with wrought-iron andirons. It is surrounded by gray large-pattern wallpaper and a leopard rug on the floor.
