Markets in rural Niger happen weekly so artists can move and sell their products for a week at a time. Dandaji needed a more permanent marketplace, as their market was organised around an ancestral tree that didn't allow for much share or permanence. atelier masōmī centred their design around the tree, creating a modernised marketplace that provides shade and amplifies the visitor's experience.

Project Description:
The market surrounds the ancestral tree and uses earth bricks and metal to create individual shade structures for the sellers.
