1785- Emerald Buddha was transported from Wat Arun with a royal ceremony.
1831- Rama III started rebuilding the temple for 50th anniversary of Bangkok
1882- Rama V and Rama VI restored the temple for 100th anniversary of Bangkok
1932- Further restoration took place by Rama VII for 150th anniversary of Bangkok
1982- Restoration took place by Rama IX for 200th anniversary of Bangkok
