Project Description:
Robert Mallet-Stevens designed this home for himself. These details of the staircase show his use of clean formal language and use of modern materials such as polished aluminum for the railing, walls in white stuco, and floor tiled in a geometric black, brown, and gray aluminum. The upholstery fabric is in tones of yellow and mauve and designed by Hélène Henry (1891-1965).
